BucketList

Browse your S3 files using a familiar file tree interface

Just what you were looking for.

BucketList uses a familiar file tree interface that your clients will immediately recognise from their operating system.

Behind the scenes, AJAX loads buckets and folders on-demand, reducing initial load time to a minimum. Intelligent caching keeps the interface nimble and responsive.

Upload your files to Amazon S3 from within the ExpressionEngine Publish page

Free your clients from FTP.

No more teaching your clients how to use FTP software. BucketList makes it easy for anyone to upload photos, music, even video to Amazon S3, right from the ExpressionEngine Publish page.

BucketList lets you upload as many files as you like, to whatever bucket or folder you choose, simultaneously.

See all your uploads at-a-glance, and continue working on your weblog entry whilst BucketList takes care of your uploads in the background. When your files have finished uploading, BucketList gets out of your way, until you're ready to use it again.

Save your pennies.

BucketList caches your file and folder information in the ExpressionEngine database, eliminating unnecessary calls to your Amazon S3 account, and reducing your monthly bill.

You can specify the cache duration, from a fast-moving 5 minutes, right up to a glacial 8 hours.

When the time comes to update the cache you'll barely notice, as BucketList retrieves the required information on demand, in the background.

Enjoy the view.

BucketList has a gorgeous, responsive user interface, with an obsessive attention to detail.

From the filetype-specific icons, to the super-slick status bar that appears at the bottom of the page whenever an upload is in progress, every pixel, every interaction, and every animation has been refined and polished to perfection.

BucketList is fully compatible with FF Matrix

And no, IE6 isn't supported. We consider that a feature.

Brandon Kelly's secret weapon

The wizard behind the curtain.

Stephen Lewis, the man behind BucketList, has been developing for the web for over a decade. His previous ExpressionEngine add-ons are already well-known and highly regarded, having been featured multiple times on EE Insider, and the ExpressionEngine Podcast (among others).

Stephen is member of the ExpressionEngine Professionals Network, and was nominated in three separate categories in the Devot:ee 2009 Awards. He finally settled for a runner-up spot in the Developer of the Year category, after Brandon Kelly got him drunk on cheap gin, and convinced him to step aside.

This bitter injustice still haunts Stephen, and is what drove him to release BucketList.
