Installation Instructions

ExpressionEngine 1 requirements

ExpressionEngine 1.6.8 or later

The jQuery for the Control Panel” extension

Note that “jQuery for the Control Panel” is installed (but disabled) by default on ExpressionEngine version 1.6.5 and up. You can also download it directly from the ExpressionEngine website.

ExpressionEngine 2 requirements

ExpressionEngine 2.1 or later

ExpressionEngine 1 installation

Download and extract the ZIP file.
Copy the ee1/system/extensions/ext.mailchimp_subscribe.php file to your /system/extensions/ directory.
Copy the ee1/system/extensions/mailchimp_subscribe folder to your /system/extensions/ directory.
Copy the ee1/system/language/english/lang.mailchimp_subscribe.php file to your /system/languages/english/ directory.
Copy the ee1/themes/cp_themes/default/mailchimp_subscribe folder to your /themes/cp_themes/default/ directory.
If you’re installing MailChimp Subscribe for the first time, open the Extensions Manager, and enable the extension.

ExpressionEngine 2 installation

Download and extract the ZIP file.
Copy the ee2/third_party/mailchimp_subscribe folder to your /system/expressionengine/third_party/ directory.
Copy the ee2/themes/third_party/mailchimp_subscribe folder to your /themes/third_party directory (if it doesn’t exist, create it).
If you’re installing MailChimp Subscribe for the first time, open the Extensions Manager, and enable the extension.
