Williams Group is the leading retailer of “prestige” vehicles in the North West of England, selling primarily BMW cars and motorcycles, MINIs, and Land Rovers.

Williams was established in 1909, and has grown to employ over 500 people across 10 dealerships, receiving numerous service and performance awards along the way.

Williams’ incumbent marketing agency, Denfield Advertising & Marketing, hired us to take care of the initial planning, design, and template-building stages of the project. We also prepared a comprehensive tender request document for distribution to several companies pitching for the implementation of the specialised Content Management System, and assisted with vetting the candidates.

As a high-profile BMW dealership, Williams Group treads a fine line between compliance with the BMW brand, and promotion of their own corporate identity. The web site was no exception, with every design requiring approval by both Williams Group, and the brand guardians at BMW.

Our solution of a cool, restricted colour palette, and tight, grid-based layouts successfully walked the tightrope, keeping BMW happy, and affording Williams Group the opportunity to flex their own branding muscles.
